The nurse is a patient advocate and provides a link between the units and the Operating Room. The Registered Nurse draws on a unique body of nursing knowledge.

THIS IS NOT A TRAINING POSITION

Qualifications:
- Current or eligible registration with CARNA
- Post grad course in Peri-operative nursing or equivalent experience
- Graduate from an approved School of Nursing. (University preparation preferred)
- Current BCLS certification required (ACLS / PALS desirable)
- Ability to perform consistently in a highly organized, rapid moving, complex environment
- Ability to collaborate within the expectations of a highly complex integrated team
- Demonstrated advanced problem solving skills integrating critical thinking and good judgment
- Demonstrated communication skills promoting respect and team spirit
- Ability to stand scrubbed for many hours and to meet the physical demands of the position
- Ability to wear lead apron protection for an extended period of time
- Basic computer skills required
